Hey there! I’m Kelsey and I’m pumped that you’re here!
I’ve been constantly in motion for most of my life! I’ve tried just about every sport you can imagine, and fell head over heels with volleyball during middle school. Moving my body (literally sacrificing my body on the court floor!) and giving my all to competition with my closest girlfriends was IT. Despite high and lows that come with wins and losses, I learned to pick myself and rise up to the occasion and challenge.
Volleyball provided me with SO much joy all through high school. I’d eventually earn a spot on a college team. However, the joy I experienced playing for so many years was not easy to find. I ended up moving back home, no longer a part of a team.
This was the start of a long journey toward self-discovery. All my life I’d identified myself as an “athlete”, equating my worth through performance. I gave my all toward my education, graduating with my teaching degree (shout out to all my Special Educators!). During this time, I’d also start heading to the gym to find another outlet!
What started as a new, positive way to use my athleticism quickly became consuming. For years and years I began pushing myself to the point of burnout in search of a new physique or fitness goal. I had an extremely tough time also balancing my relationship with food, leading to years of restriction. I was looking for control and a sense of purpose.
I made the decision to leave the classroom in 2020, which was the true turning point for me in my health and fitness journey! I finally had the clarity to pursue a life that was well-lived, not full of extremes and restriction. I wanted to train with a PURPOSE and eat with INTENTION.
This commitment to GROWTH through training and fueling my body to be its strongest is far more empowering than I ever dreamed!
I’ve found that many trainers and nutrition coaches are extreme in their approach when it comes to health and fitness. Many programs lack the guidance required to ACTUALLY progress in the gym and make sustainable lifestyle changes. Many coaches simply do not have the knowledge to create a plan that will help you achieve your goals long term. There is so much value in education, which I believe is the most important piece in maintaining physical changes for a lifetime.
My coaching approach will help you develop a strong FOUNDATION that will serve your long term health! You will learn to appreciate each phase of your fitness journey!
